Dr. Nguyen earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Houston. During his first year, Dr. Nguyen was elected to participate in a research-based abroad trip to the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador where he contributed to evolutionary biology and conservation efforts. During this experience, he collaborated with scientists at the San Francisco De Quito University and the Charles Darwin Research Station to assist in the conservation of endangered and endemic species as well as support the underserved communities living on the islands. Throughout his undergraduate years, he was an active member in Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED), a pre-health honor society that became an asset to his commitment to the healthcare field. His involvement with AED provided valuable professional access for healthcare education with pharmacists, physician assistants, anesthesia assistants, and orthopedic surgeons. These connections enriched his understanding of healthcare delivery and reinforced his desire to pursue this path in medicine. However, it was during the COVID-19 pandemic that Dr. Nguyen’s commitment to a conservative health care approach was solidified. He became increasingly interested in non-invasive, preventative, and evidence-based treatments.
Dr. Nguyen continued his professional development by attending Texas Chiropractic College where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Throughout his studies, he focused extensively on the diagnosis, prevention, and clinical sciences related to the musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Nguyen's clinical education included an internship at Moody Health Center (MHC) in Pasadena, TX, where he treated a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. During his internship at MHC, Dr. Nguyen completed his rotation in neurosurgery with Dr. Edward Murphy, M.D. where he observed and received instruction regarding neurological conditions and its intersection with the musculoskeletal system. A particularly impactful part of Dr. Nguyen’s education was his work in underserved communities. He completed a rotation at The Bridge of Troubled Waters to provide chiropractic care to individuals and families of various types of victimization and at Coastal Health and Wellness in League City, TX, to economically disadvantaged populations. These rotations empowered his belief in the importance of conservative care as a solution to many health concerns.
Dr. Nguyen focuses on treating the root causes of musculoskeletal conditions rather than simply alleviating symptoms. He is committed to provide patient-centered care that empowers individuals to take control of their health. He is interested in every patient’s quality of life and promotes long term health and wellness through chiropractic techniques and conservative strategies.
Dr. Nguyen is a member of the Texas Chiropractic Association and American Chiropractic Association.
